...It's SPRING!!!! Though we might not yet see it! Snow plaguing much of the country.... Still there is an air of excitement all around. A sense that the NEW is just around the corner.
I am always excited about the change of seasons. The opportunity for renewal... This year however was different... So much personal turmoil. So many loose threads. Unfinished process. Unresolved decisions. I must confess I was not planning for the NEW.
And yet as resistant as I was, enthusiasm
ambushed me! And flung my heart wide open. COME ON IN!!! YOU ARE WELCOME HERE.
Before I knew it I was cleaning shelves, writing letters with dip pen and ink, and giving away little treasures I thought I would always keep. Not to mention, throwing away things that should have been gone years ago.

~ REVELATION ~
This process of GIVING AWAY, of opening my hands to let go of that which I hold so tightly, so I am free to accept new blessings. Of being generous with my time, even when it does not particularly benefit me to do so. Of either USING or LETTING go of the many things that cram my shelves... Besides making my space a lighter healthier dust free environment, I am becoming almost giddy with the process!
This morning I am joyful again.... I peer through my clean shelves at the trees beyond the wall of windows on my sun porch office and smile. Basement / studio -- you are next! Thrift Shop open your doors wide, I am coming your way. No time to save for a yard sell. I just want to let go. To live in the now and find pleasure in the few treasures I can enjoy, rather than the bushels of things I have been saving for some nebulous event tomorrow. What a sensation. THANK YOU NEW!!! I am ready for Spring! I FINALLY HEAR TRUTH! The one that says, "What are you waiting for. This is the only life you will get. There are no dress rehearsal. You (I) must live now, and make sure I am living it to the best of my ability..."
My heart too flutters to clear off the cobwebs in my mind. To dance and sing, and plant flowers in the lives around me.... I am ready again, to BLOOM WHERE I AM PLANTED.
"It is good for a woman to keep her sense of humor intact and at the ready. She must see, even if only in secret, that she is the funniest woman in her world, which she should also see as being the most absurd world of all times. ... When life get complicated, sometimes it helps to remember that laughter can change the look of things."
~ Maya Angelou

I, too, feel the spirit of renewal...blessings...
